Little Axe Line Repair

Western Farmers Electric Cooperative lost 45 transmission structures during the recent tornados that struck Moore, Little Axe and other locations in central Oklahoma.  Follow two WFEC line crews as they work to restore power along lines near Little Axe, Oklahoma.  Program length: 8:30 minutes.  Video, ambient sound only.  No narration.

Rocky Ridge Wind Farm Video

This four-minute video is about the Rocky Ridge Wind Farm located north of Hobart, Oklahoma.  It also provides a perspective from WFEC Risk Management Manager Richard Ross.

Earth Day 2012

More than 2000 elementary school children participated in Earth Day 2012 at the Grady County Fairgounds in Chickasha, Oklahoma.  WFEC and four member distribution cooperatives co-hosted the event.  The purpose of Earth Day 2012 was to create educational demonstrations and produce a quality learning experience centered on energy and the earth.

Cana Sub Reconstruction

A WFEC crew rebuilds the Cana Substation after it was destroyed by a tornado in May, 2011.  The substation, located west of El Reno Oklahoma, was reconstructed by mid-July.  The substation serves a nearby gas plant.  This three minute program also shows the Cana Sub as it appears recently on February 2, 2012.  Project expansion work continues at the nearby plant.

OSU Students Visit WFEC Anadarko Plant

This is a two-minute  video of OSU Oklahoma Agricultural Leadership Encounter (OALE) students touring WFEC’s Anadarko Plant.  The OALE is a program designed to expand the knowledge of the ag industry in Oklahoma for young adults.  Participants explore and visit a variety of agriculturally based companies and other organizations across the state.  They have the opportunity gain three credit hours towards an undergraduate degree.
