| It was really
no surprise when WFEC announced it's partnership in
the first wind farm to be developed in state history...Oklahoma's
Electric Cooperatives have been bringing innovation
to main streets and rural communities since the 1930s.
What is truly amazing about the project is that this
December, the 45 structures reaching 328 feet into
the sky north of Lawton, OK will begin harnessing
one of Oklahoma's most abundant natural resources
-- producing enough energy to power more than 20,000
homes.
Wind power is clean, renewable and makes sense for
Oklahoma. That's why cooperatives powered by WFEC
have teamed up to offer WindWorks, a program that
lets residential and commercial members take part
in this historic development for just pennies a day
by designating portions of their monthly consumption
as wind power. |
